Roy Zimmerman’s “Hula Yule”

You can be part of the International Climate Conference through this great populist experiment …… hosted by The People Speak.

“Hula Yule” is on Roy’s “PeaceNick” CD, available at and at iTunes. This video was recorded at 142 Throckmorton Theatre in Mill Valley, A during “Mark Pitta and Friends.”

It’s a Hula Yule On North Pole Island

The sun is setting on the rising seas
While the globe is warming by degrees
The elves are singing Beach Boy harmonies
And surfing the Alaskan Pipeline

It’s not cold, just cool
So stay a while and
Hula on a beach of melting ice
In a polar paradise

Santa smokes a pipe of greenhouse gas
Gently swaying in a skirt of grass
He tells a story with a swish of his ass
All about the acid reindeer

He’s a fossil fool
Who’ll wear a smile and
Wave a wiki waki hula hand
In a winter wonderland

Once, he’d pack his rig and round the world he’d go
Now he roasts a pig and hollers Ho Ho Don Ho

It’s a Hula Yule
On North Pole Island
Hula on a beach of melting ice
In a polar paradise

Warmly wobbling from side to side
In the rising Christmas tide

Jeff Randall is a frequent volunteer for free-thought organizations, including the Center For Inquiry – DC. Having been blogging since January 2008, he decided that a community of bloggers would be an interesting new experience (or at the very least a fun way to annoy his friends into reading his posts more frequently).
