An Atheist Reads the Bible

This new animated series uses a verbatim reading from lesser-known stories from the Bible. And by “lesser-known,” that means horrible stories that the religious either pretend do not exist, or wish didn’t.

Today I’d like to introduce you, or at least those of you who have not seen this series yet, to 43alley’s YouTube series, “An Atheist Reads the Bible“.

It is currently up to 10 episodes (plus the trailer above), and each one is funny, informative, and thought-provoking, covering topics from slavery, to incest, to contradictions, and much more…

I highly recommend checking this out for yourself, especially if you’re currently a believer, as perhaps it will make you want to read your “holy book” a bit closer for yourself, and that is always a good thing (as Richard Dawkins has said, there is nothing better to create an atheist than reading the bible).

About Rodibidably

Jeff Randall is a frequent volunteer for free-thought organizations, including the Center For Inquiry – DC. Having been blogging since January 2008, he decided that a community of bloggers would be an interesting new experience (or at the very least a fun way to annoy his friends into reading his posts more frequently). Since finding out about about the existence of, and then joining, the atheist/skeptic community in 2007 he has been committed to community activism, critical thinking in all aspects of life, science, reason, and a fostering a secular society.
