Quote of the Moment – Batshit Insane Edition

I found this on facebook, and felt it deserved a comment.

If scientific conclusions contradict the Word of God, the conclusions are wrong, no matter how many scientific facts may appear to back them” — Biology for Christian Schools

Let’s for a moment just ignore the fact that the “word of god” they are speaking about it a collection of fairy tales compiled by ignorant, illiterate, bronze age man.

How arrogant does somebody have to be to claim they alone have a perfect understanding of the universe and everything in it, despite contradictory evidence. And to claim that those who’s job it is to understand these things, who also happen to be a large portion of the most brilliant minds of our time, are mistaken.

Even if you accept that their “holy book” is true, do they not accept their own fallibility in interpretation? Keep in mind that this is a book that has been used to justify slavery, genocide, polygamy, infanticide and more…

How fucking arrogant of them…

And wrong.
