These Things I Believe – Government Conspiracies

Continuing with my series on These Things I Believe, today’s topic is a bit more more light-hearted, but one that I still believe is quite important…

Again, this is essentially just a random list of beliefs I hold on a specific topic. There really is no specific purpose behind this post, other than it happens to be an idea I had to collect some thoughts for a more thorough article some time later…

I’d like to start off with the most simplistic one:

  • If Bill Clinton can not get a blow job without the whole world knowing about it, the government is not able to keep things like aliens, NWO, etc hidden…

Obviously that is a bit of a generalization, but it does also make a decent point that most conspiracy theorists fail to take into account…

And on with the rest of my random thoughts:

  • NASA landed men on the moon
  • There is NOT a global conspiracy of bankers, etc who control (or are trying to control) the government (of the US or the world)
  • The government is NOT hiding evidence of aliens
  • Area 51 is a military base, used for housing secret prototype weapons for the airforce; it is NOT the site of a crashed spaceship
  • The US government was NOT involved with 9/11 and it was NOT an “inside job”
  • The US government was NOT involved in the murder of JFK
  • “Free” energy is a myth, and the government is NOT supressing it to help “big oil”
  • At their core, MOST politicians have the best interest of the country (or their state/district) as their primary goal
  • The rest of politicians have their own self interest as their primary goal
  • This includes Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians, and all other politicians

And finally, last but not least:

  • People who disagree with these things are either delusional, ignorant, stupid, or lying

LOL – Well, once again we sort of disagree:

There IS a global conspiracy of bankers, etc who control (or are trying to control) the government (of the US or the world). They’re called the Federal Reserve, The World Trade Organization, and the World Bank.

At their core, MOST politicians heir own self interest as their primary goal

The rest of politicians have the best interest of the country (or their state/district) as their primary goal

This includes Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians, and all other politicians

Don’t worry jonolan, eventually we’ll find something we agree on. I may have to do a post on why eating puppies is not good, but I’m sure we’ll find common ground eventually…

As for the Federal Reserve, WTO and World Bank being part of a conspiracy, I’m not sure I’d go there.
First you’d have to start with the assumption that their goals are not what they claim their goals are.
Then you’d have to determine what their “real” goals are.

I’ve never seen any evidence for either of these, so unless you have such evidence, I’d have to say it’s nothing more than paranoia.

And for politicians; I’m cynical of human nature, and those in power, but you make me look all sunshine and flowers…

I think we’d only have to go as far as believing / saying that they have not disseminated the entirety of goals to claim conspiracy.

Of course I’m not suggesting that the Fed, WTO, and World Bank are co-conspirators in some global plot. It’s far more likely that each have their own agendas, which may or may not be in conflict on any given issue.

Only depending onwhat those non disseminated goals are…
If the goals involve things like helping stockholders, it’s business not a conspiracy. If the goals involve things like “total world domination”, sure that would probably be considered a conspiracy…

Do you have any evidence of what those “hidden” goals are?

      • jonolan says:

Ummm….read the official mandates of the organizations were speaking of. If shareholder value has become a non-disclosed priority, that would qualify as a conspiracy as far as I’m concerned.

      • Rodibidably says:

ALL (aqnd I mean 100%) of companies that have stock, have shareholder value as a priority…

For a corporation to do something that all corportations do (by the very defintion of being a corportation with stock) is not a conspiracy, it’s capitalism…

For it to be a conspiracy, there must be another agenda…
