Israel “Iz” Kaʻanoʻi Kamakawiwoʻole

I wanted to do a post on a lighter note than the last one, since that one actually angered me more and more as I wrote it. To reach this end, I tried to think of the most mellow, happy, light-hearted musician I have on my iPod, and I thought of Israel “Iz” Kaʻanoʻi Kamakawiwoʻole. For those who don’t know who he is, I suggest checking out the Wikipedia link.

I first got into Iz’s music a while back, and while his music is not my “normal” style I go for, there is something about his take on songs and his voice that I like.

I recognized the music from the movie “50 First Dates.” I never knew anything about the artist, but now I do. Thanks!

Good stuff – who doesn’t like ukelele riffs!
